Orlando City fans that are excited to see more of the young Lions just got their wish today as the “B” teams schedule was announced by the league and club.
History of OCB
For those who aren’t aware of Orlando City B, Orlando City created a “B” team to compete in the USL starting in the 2016 season. The team began play in Melbourne, Florida, for its first season but quickly moved back to Orlando for the 2017 season. Unfortunately, the club decided to suspend OCB for the 2018 season as it re-evaluated its participation with a “B” team. Later in 2018, the club announced that it would be a founding member of USL League One, which placed it three levels down in the U.S. soccer structure. The team competed in that league through the 2020 season before taking another hiatus in 2021. The club then announced that it would join MLS Next Pro, a league in which nearly all teams are affiliated with an MLS club, with only two unaffiliated teams.
2026 Season
Each club in MLS NEXT Pro will play 28 matches over the season, 14 home and 14 away totaling 30 weeks. Decision Day will be on Sunday, September 20, when all teams will be competing. All that will lead to the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs where 16 teams will play to compete for the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro title. All home games will be played at Osceola Heritage Park Stadium, at the Orlando Health Training Ground at Osceola Heritage Park.

Orlando City B will kick off their season on March 2 as they face Huntsville City FC at home. The match takes place the day after the Inter Miami match and is the only Monday match the young Lions will have all season.
Most matches for OCB will take place on Sundays, with a handful of matches taking place on Friday and Saturday. Below are a couple of matches of note for OCB:
- Orlando City B plays Inter Miami II three times throughout the season. They face them at home twice, with the first match taking place on March 22 and the second home match on May 24. OCB then faces Inter Miami II away on September 4, in their last away match of the season.
- OCB will also face their other rivals, Atlanta United II, three times this season. Two matches will be away, on May 10 and August 22, with the final match against Atlanta United II at home on Decision Day.
- Chicago Fire II moves to the Southeast Division so OCB will play them three times this season. The young Lions will host them on March 8 followed by road matches on April 26 and August 16.
- OCB will also take on both independent teams this season in a total of 6 matches. The independent clubs tend to perform a bit better since they have a regular roster while the MLS-affiliated teams move players up and down. It will be a nice challenge for the young Lions.

Looking Ahead
While Orlando City B has a few players signed for next season, the rest of the roster is epected to be filled out by the time the season kicks off in March. There are a handful of players training with the first team during preseason which is a great opportunity for the young Lions. Players such as Pedro Leão, Bernardo Rehin, Justin Ellis, Titus Sandy Jr., Juan Rojas, Ignacio Gómez, and Tristan Himes are all training with the squad.
The squad will be led again by Manuel Goldberg, who will coach the team for his fifth straight year. This will be his third season as the head coach, highlighting the consistency the club hopes to bring to its youth setup. Orlando City B exercised his option last winter in hopes of keeping talent development going for the young players.
